Happy New Year!
The following picture was taken at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium which is located in my home town. This bald eagle landed in a tree in the outdoor exhibit area. There are many eagles near the river this time of year as they like to fish in the waters that stay open because of the Lock and Dam located here. What a beautiful bird! (Unfortunately, I didn't have my zoom lens with me, so these are something of "notorius nature shots," as my parents call them. ;) )
