Here in eastern Iowa along the Mississippi River valley, we have a garden that the legendary Lady Catherine de Bourgh would likely term a "prettyish kind of a little wilderness." Here will (hopefully) be posted regular pictures of our own prettyish wilderness in town and shots of the surrounding area.
Last week we harvested the red currents, and it was a great year for them!! We got four full ice cream buckets of them....which translates into 48 jars of jelly. Ymmmmm. The picture of them in the pan represents about 1.5 bucket's worth.
